High Level Toilets

High level toilets provide the ultimate in traditional bathroom elegance and style. The high level WC suite features a toilet cistern mounted high on the wall – hence the name "high level toilet", which is connected to the toilet pan by way of a tall flush pipe, usually available in either highly polished chrome or antique gold plated finishes. Used widely in Victorian times, the high toilet cistern still produces the most efficient flush of all toilets, due to the forces of gravity assisting greatly in the fall of water during the flushing process. The flushing of the high level toilet is activated via a pull and chain mechanism which is usually finished with an attractive ceramic pull handle, to further enhance the splendour of this period masterpiece.

Traditionally high level toilet cisterns were manufactured from heavy metals or even wood. However, with the progress of modern manufacturing techniques, we are now able to offer a wide range of high level WC suites all manufactured from ceramic. This relatively new style of manufacture means that the brackets previously required to support the high level cistern on the wall are no longer required. The cisterns are now firmly fixed to the wall and the brackets supplied are now mainly for decorative purposes.
